The production tells the story of Andy arriving at a tough prison after being sentenced of brutally murdering his lover after she had an affair with another man. As a well educated bloke, Andy is totally different from the standard inmates and offers to help a guard with his finance situation. With this prison warden on his side he becomes the prison officers accountant. The live stage version has a very raw feeling and comes across wonderfully real to the captivated theatre lovers. The fighting scenes are amazing, the set is realistic and the strength of acting is also great.
