I found many cute options in solid colors, but they were far from basic. I quickly learned that the fabric used could turn a plain cushion into a work of art. I continued browsing, and found additional options in suede, silk, and cotton fabrics. After much thought, I decided to go with a few suede cushions that would make a perfect backdrop on my sofa. I also wanted to add some smaller, patterned designs to coordinate the look and add some color to the arrangement. It was hard to decide between the soft floral patterns that would add a feminine touch to the look, or a few bold stripes and geometric designs on the decorative accent pillows that would offer a southwestern feel.
